The iconic Folk In Broke is returning to the beautiful Lower Hunter Valley village of Broke on Saturday March 28 2015. Whilst we will celebrating the history and legacy of the former versions of Folk In Broke we are transforming the festival into a much more modern folk/roots/blues/world music vibe and style.
There will be an intimate separate launch event on the Friday night at the Broke Hall and then the festival in full swing on the Saturday day/night in the Broke Park. We’re going old school and simple, with 10 bands over the course of the festival playing on a single stage with breaks in between sets so folks can grab a drink, eat some fantastic food, browse the markets and talk about the performance they’ve just seen.
Our fantastic artisan and handmade markets will be brought to festival goers by the amazing folks at Sacred Tree Markets. We’ll have food stalls that are a cut above your average festival fare. Quality brewers and local wines served out of a vintage 50’s caravan.
Tickets will be limited and priced at a very reasonable $75 + $2.50 BF.
