Hunter Valley Wine Show 2014

“THE Hunter’s semillon wines tantalised the judges on the first day of the Hunter Valley Wine Show in Singleton on Monday. Show president Tim Murray said the quality of the wines “had been touted” and were living up to expectations.

He said the judges were so impressed with the entries in one of the 2014 semillon classes that they were finding it difficult to determine the winner. “It’s very, very hard because they are very, very good,” he said. “The 2013 red wines are also showing very strongly.”

The annual show, which has been held since 1974, will see 737 entries from 80 exhibitors grouped into 35 different classes.”
