2nd April 2009 – The newest wine tasting centre in the valley has opened it’s doors for business. Formerly an outlet for Margan Wines at 266 Hermitage Road, the tasting room has been revamped and renamed the Hunter Valley Winegrowers Tasting & Sales Centre.

Attended by around 60 locals and some from further afield, a warm welcome was provided to all by Andrew & Lisa Margan, ably assisted by Nesha Stuart and company. Café Beltree’s head chef Mark Delandro was on hand providing a fantastic range of delicious food welcomed by all.

On offer are a dozen high quality wine brands from local winegrowers who share the philosophy of growing their own grapes and making purely Hunter Valley wines and include Beyond Broke Vineyard, Pothana, Songlines Estates, Margan Family Winegrowers, Sweetwater Wines, Wattlebrook Vineyard, Eclectic Wines, Camp Road Estate and The Little Wine Company.

Drop in and see the folks, have a chat and sample the wines. They are open Thursday-Monday 10-5pm.
