“THE annual Hunter Valley Wine & Food Month lasts just 30 days, but planning for the June event started many moons ago at Pokolbin’s RidgeView boutique winery and restaurant.
With 90per cent of their produce grown organically on site, the RidgeView team planted produce for their Ocean to Paddock feast as early as last year to ensure a true home-grown Hunter Valley experience on June 14.
The estate, at 273 Sweetwater Road, Pokolbin, is one of dozens of venues hosting as many as 70 events across the region during Hunter Valley Wine & Food Month. In addition to tastings at the more than 150 wineries in the area – which is said to be the nation’s most-visited wine region – the month-long celebration includes festivals and fairs, magical dinners and gastronomical feasting.”
