Wombat Crossing Vineyard is one of the Hunter Valley’s smallest boutique producers of fine table wines.  The range of wines, by winemaker Scott Stephens, is modest in size but exceptional in quality.  Each wine inherits the characteristics of its individual paddock vineyard on the property.

The vineyards were established in 1996, and the first wines produced in 2005.  Following their birth at the winery, each wine is aged in the air-conditioned cellar on the property to allow the development of further complexity and to present at its peak for drinking.

Wombat restricts production to less than 800 cases of Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay, and Rose wine.  Wines are available from the cellar door, the Hunter Resort cellar door and wine school, or by direct orders to the cellar in Hermitage Rd.

Our cellar is open for tastings every Saturday from midday to 5pm, and during holidays and event weekends on Friday afternoons between 3pm and 6pm, and Sundays between 10am and 3pm.  We invite you to visit when next in the valley.
