McCaffrey’s Estate is located on the popular Hermitage Road, Pokolbin in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country. With a dedicated bicycle lane and numerous cellar doors to explore, along with award-winning restaurants, it is a great place to stay whilst you explore the fabulous delights of the area.
Our cottages are self-contained with two bedrooms. Each one has a large open plan living and kitchen area. The cottages have slow combustion wood burning fireplaces, reverse cycle air-conditioning, ceiling fans in each bedroom and electric blankets for cool winter nights.
The kitchens are fully equipped with stove top, microwave and fridge. There is a gas BBQ and your own outdoor dining area, where you can enjoy the glorious view of the sun setting over the vineyard.
Guests have access to the outdoor pool over the summer months to cool off and relax. We also welcome you to wander through the vineyard at your leisure, enjoy a picnic amongst the vines. You may also like to sit and watch the sunset over the dam, listen to the sound of the birdlife and watch the kangaroos hop by.
McCaffrey’s Estate is a working vineyard, we live on site and you will often see us tending to the vines or playing in the garden with our children. We do welcome you on arrival, however, we like you to have your own space too. We are on call should you need us.
If you are visiting the area for one of the many popular concerts McCaffrey’s Estate is a dedicated stop for the coaches to and from the concert venues. We are also only 10 minutes from Hunter Valley Gardens and a short distance from the many golf courses in the area.
