You’ll enjoy wines that are only available at the cellar door where you will likely meet the owners or winemaker who would love to chat about the latest vintage and their new release wines. Around Hermitage Hunter Valley is synonymous with the grape varieties of Semillon and Shiraz, but you’ll also find varieties not often seen in the Hunter. Come and try some Hunter Valley Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Verdelho and some of the best Riesling in Australia, all locally grown.

Biography

Established in 1893 we are proud to be one of the oldest working wineries in the Hunter and are passionate about producing premium handcrafted wines that reflect both the region and our uncompromising approach to winemaking.

Our wines are sold and distributed exclusively through our Cellar door which is open for free tastings 7 days week, 10am – 5pm except Christmas Day (closed) and Anzac Day (12 – 5pm).

In winter our log fire is waiting to welcome you and in summer our beautiful Estate gardens offer a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Semillon, Savagnin, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Rose, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and our Sparling Apple & Pear Cider. Wines available by the glass 12 – 5pm.
