Hunter Valley Wine Country Information Board

On 2nd December 2017 the new information bay on Hermitage Road just south of Old North Road was officially opened by NSW Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen. Mr Johnsen was joined by representatives from Singleton and Cessnock Councils as well as local business operators and residents. This was a key milestone in the Hermitage and Broke Road upgrade project and is the start of the roll out of the new Hunter Valley Wine Country signage scheme. The information bay includes a regional map and tourist information, seating, two picnic tables, parking for cars and larger vehicles and native landscaping.

The Hermitage Road Cycleway construction is progressing well with the southern section being sealed this week.

The Hermitage and Broke Road upgrade project received $16.7 million in funding under the NSW Government’s Restart NSW Resources for Regions program.
